Leila's Birthday

My little niece Leila turned one a few weeks ago. We made the trip to her house to help her family celebrate!

Chilling with Dad before the party.

With big brother Knox and holding her beloved baby doll- a birthday gift from her Grandpa and Grandma!

Her mommy decided on a fancy "Parisian" themed party and served several different kinds of fancy little appetizers along with this pink poodle cake. She baked the cake and I assembled and decorated it.

Leila seemed to be pleased with the cake!

Happy 1st birthday, sweet girl!

what a sweet party for a cute little girl.
Her pink poodle cake is perfect and it must of tasted really good too, glad you all enjoyed it.

earlier this spring, we bought our grandson a slide at a yard sale from a little girl also named Leila as she had outgrown it. Her name is writted in permanant marker on the side of it.
I'd never seen that name before and now I've seen it twice, isn't it funny how things like that happen?

That's so funny, Rhonda! I don't think the name Leila/ Lela is overly common, although it is an old name. Our Leila is named after ladies on both sides of the family. On her dad's side: her great-grandmother and on her mommy's ( my sister's) side: a great-aunt and my mom's cousin. All of them spelled it Lela, though.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!
