We have a new neighbor who just moved in across the street. We had already popped over there to
Andy was going to meet a friend on Monday and since I had baked cinnamon rolls that morning, I felt compelled to share a couple of the rolls with this friend. They were on the table ready to go and both of us totally forgot about them until later. Much later.
Two failed attempts in one weekend! The good intentions were certainly there. We even followed through with doing what we felt God had impressed on our hearts. But the message of hospitality never made it from point A to point B either time.
So maybe God had other plans. I don't know. All I know is, I'll just keep on practicing!
Have any of you experienced situations like this?

Hey!! well, that was sweet of you...to link to me. I appreciate it.
But, more importantly. I love your story... of and in "practicing hospitality". Sometimes it's hard. Because of so called failed attempts it makes you want to "not do it" the next time. I know.
It's from the heart that matters. So, keep practicing. ;)
What a great gesture, when we moved to Indiana I still remember a neighbor coming with baked goods to welcome us. It was especially welcomed since I was 1000 miles from home and didn't know a soul! So keep trying, maybe God just wanted you to go on a different day, LOL.
I am sorry that it didn't work out. I hope this doesn't discourage you from trying again.
I will definitely keep trying. I shared this today because too often we share the pretty little pictures on our blogs of the wonderful things we do and we never mention when things just don't go the way we've planned! Maybe this will be an encouragement to someone else!
I truly believe that God uses us in spite of ourselves! We may feel like it's a failed attempt but we can't see the bigger picture.
